About Me

Jessica-Best-300pxI’m Jess. Just your average… ok, not-so-average, hyper-busy and super-social, young, urban-dwelling, upwardly mobile professional. Recently, more and more my friends have started using me as a go-to when they wanted to know what was going on in Kansas City. They’ll introduce KC “transplants” (those who recently moved to Kansas City) to me and I can help them get involved in the groups that are a good fit for them. Kind of like a guidance counselor, but for life in KC.

I work at a digital marketing agency based in downtown Kansas City, which helps explain why I’m a huge email marketing and social media nerd. I love meeting new people, showing people how great KC is, and connecting people. Want to follow my train of thought or just get to know me a bit better? Read up on the blog posts. Have bizarre questions? I love finding answers (and I know some bizarre things) and posting responses on my blog. Email me at jess@bestofjess.com with thoughts/queries.

Need to know what’s going on in the marketing, advertising and young professional world of KC? Peruse the YUUM (Young, Urban, Upwardly-Mobile) Calendar. Click on an event to add it to your own Google Calendar and maybe I’ll see you there!

Among the things I love – Kansas City, socializing, digital marketing, reading, theater, music, happy hours – food is near the top. So last, but not least, if you’re interested in heading out on the town to try great food spots in KC, join the KC Foodies Crew on Facebook.

You can also catch up with me via Twitter @bestofjess (where I tend towards email marketing and work stuff, but not exclusively).

Enjoy and I’ll see you out & about!

Jess
